The first journalism class at the University of Nevada, Reno was taught in the fall semester of 1922 within the Department of English. Produced to commemorate the school's centennial year, On the Record explores the evolution of the Reynolds School through 100 years of challenge, change and achievement. The film was directed by award-winning filmmaker and Reynolds School of Journalism professor Kari Barber in collaboration with students and faculty.
